The Catechism of Great Tao (Eng/Ch) 大道疑問解答(中英增訂版)

Tao is principle. How can we cultivate Tao before we have a clear perception of it?
So those who intend to cultivate this Highest Morality must first of all have a clear
knowledge of the principles. The best and only way to acquire this knowledge is to ask
for explanation of whatever doubts we have.
It is a great pity; the world is ashamed to seek instructions from those of inferior station,
so the more they are in doubt, the more they are under delusion. As they are under delusion
without consciousness, they are far away from Tao.
On seeing all these defects, this booklet, “The Catechism of Great Tao” is brought to light.
It consists of two parts:- Part One (Ref: 1-64) is the revision and Part Two (Ref: 65-133)
is the expansion of the various questions on a fuller scale. So far the explanation given is
clear and terse and the wordings are simple. This booklet containing above 100 questions
is not claimed to be of perfection and excellence, but it is complete with all principles
not of a delicate nature. It may be used as well for reference. In short, my aim and object
is to assist the learners thoroughly to realize the Truth, so that they may be guided for the
furtherance of the cultivation of this Highest Morality. As for those admirers or aspirants,
it serves as an entrance for seeking Tao and to help them clear off their doubts and make
them conversant with the principles.
