The Mandate of Heaven and the Golden Thread 天命金線(英)

In this book , Luo Qian-Ren points out and explains that the success in Tao affairs has to
be founded on three important factors. Tao affairs are founded on the love, compassion,
andspirit of personal sacrifice of those workers, men of ideals and benevolence, superior men,
and saints and sages who labour hard for the sake of Tao. However, the achievements of
Tao affairs do not entirely depend on humans, but on the compassion of Heaven above,
and the power of the Mandate of Heaven and the Golden Thread. Only when there is the
unity of Heaven and man can they be achieved. More importantly, only the Tao that manifests
the Mandate of Heaven and the Golden Thread is the true Tao, can have “names removed
from the underworld and registered in Heaven. This is the reason why the Mandate of Heaven
and the Golden Thread has been the lifeline of Tao cultivators ever since time immemorial.
The responsibility of the cultivators of Tao today is therefore to do all they can to protect
the Mandate of Heaven and the Golden Thread so that it may not be lost. They have to further
observe it so as not to disgrace it and, with firm faith in it, carry the lineage of Tao forward.
